Farm & Garden

Cows, Chickens, & Vegetables

The monks run a small beef-cattle farm.  They also have about 40 chickens, whose eggs they eat for breakfast.  There is also a small garden which supplies fresh summer vegetables.

Care of our Land

A main principle of Benedictine life and work is the sanctification of the land we inhabit.  We care for and cultivate our property just as God called Adam & Eve to do in the Garden of Eden.

& Guests

Welcome all as Christ

The monks receive countless guests each year to visit and pray with us.  Many pilgrims come also to visit the Ave Maria Grotto.
